Earlier I made a post about the lyrics on Touch. To add to it, Touch is about someone who has experienced touch but believes it is not enough to make them feel complete. What I did not notice is how in the bridge of the song, there is a chant that says, "Hold on. If love is the answer you're home." The chant is started by Daft Punks (do the robots have names?) and then is carried on by a children's choir.
Paul Williams does not join in the chanting and when he sings again, the track goes back to a mournful piano. He sings what he sings at the beginning of the song, as if he has returned to the place he started.
There is something about the chant, if love is the answer you're home, that the singer does not believe.
